Zola is not really up for adoption as he has some issues. But. If we could find him the right home that would be amazing. He's around 12 now. Good Zola is fun, affectionate, very playful, loves to be fussed. Bad Zola is like a switch, growly, snarling and you have to leave his kennel. I can go in sit on the floor with him he climbs all over me, we have loads of cuddles and I play a bit of ball with him. But every now and again he sees red, you do get a warning, but it's quick. The perfect home for him would be.... a child free, dog free, cat free with access to a garden. He just wants to be loved, but not spoilt, we think that's where it all went wrong with him :(
Freida originally came from Romania, the day after she was taken from the shelter all the dogs there were killed, so she had a lucky escape. Freida is not good with other dogs, although she does take a shine to the old male! She is however very good with cats and will ignore them. Once Freida gets to know you she is very loyal and loving. Her perfect home would be with a single lady who enjoys a walk a day but with few visitors, and no children visiting. Freida lived on the streets in Romania and was not treated well so she will try to protect herself if she thinks she is being threatened. But, she is the most cheeky, affectionate girl with the people she trusts, and that bond is amazing.
Rocky is a 5 year old Great Dane cross with an American Bulldog. He can be excitable with other dogs when out walking but loves to play. He is very affectionate and would love to be with somebody who is around the majority of the time to give him cuddles. He has grown up with children, but due to his size we would rehome to a family with children 14 +. He is nervous of strangers but great when he gets to know them and he is only being rehomed due to present owners ill health. Rocky must be the only dog in the home, he craves attention and does not like to share! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form
Ronnie is a collie type, a very sweet girl. She would be best as an only pet as she can be protective around food. She enjoys going out for walks and loves to be around people, she would make a lovely companion.
Ashworth is a beautiful boy who loves attention and cuddles. He is deaf so we are looking for somebody with patience to carry on with his training. He can have episodes of over excitement so an experienced home is essential and preferably male only. He is good with other dogs with careful introductions.
Bernie is 8 years old. He was born in a Spanish pound and was there until he recently came to Mutts With Friends. He will need to be rehomed with his brother, Mike. They are quite nervous, Mike is more confident than Bernie, they are very sweet boys but have seen nothing of the outside world so are looking for a calm, patient home where they can blossom in their own time and discover the world.
Luna is a mixed breed and 2 years old. She is very nervous of strangers, and takes a while to come round to people but responds best if they have high value treats,. she is more wary of men and definitely not to be trusted with children. She is scared of fireworks and loud noises. She loves her walks and has excellent recall, especially if she knows you are carrying treats. She is good with other dogs but can be a bit reactive when on the lead, bounces around and tries to play. She has also been used to spending the day with another dog and got on really well with him. She knows the commands sit, down, stay, wait, come, on your bed, on your lead and walkies. She loves her walks and likes splashing around in water. She has lived happily with 2 cats, she will play-bow and sniff but nothing more with them. She is fully house trained and will ask to go outside. She has been used to having someone around most of the day and once you have earned her trust she is the most loving little character, she grumbles with pleasure when settling down next to you on the sofa. She is very quiet, rarely barks in the house. She will happily let you bath her, clip nails etc. She travels nicely in the car, will lie on the back seat with a harness in the seat belt and also happy to travel in a crate. She has done some agility, and flyball and did enjoy this although has a tendency to do zoomies round the field and lose concentration.
Mike is the more confident out of the two brothers, Bernie is the quiet one. Both dogs are gentle and will blossom into very loyal companions. They will need to be rehomed together and to a home where they can receive the love and patience these two boys deserve. They were born in a Spanish pound and have been there ever since. They will need some training but once these boys realise they are loved and safe they will be amazing companions.
Denny is a 14 week old Cocker Spaniel Cross Poodle. We are looking for an active home with children aged 10 plus. As he is a young pup he will need somebody home all of the time. He is a bit nervous of meeting new people so a quiet, patient home where he can continue with toilet training is needed. He is good with other dogs, not cat tested. He has had a small amount of lead training but finds the outside world a bit overwhelming so a country home would be perfect for him. *** Please email email@example.com for an application form***
Frank is a 7 year old Staffie. He is good off the lead and he never goes too far. He mainly likes to chase squirrels and bark at sticks! Frank has a walk at the beginning and the end of the day he likes open spaces, and loves to let off steam and have a good run. Frank loves to play with other dogs and is very gentle, kind and respectful towards smaller dogs and puppies. He can be nervous coming when first coming across new dogs so needs careful introductions before play commences! At night Frank usually goes to sleep on the sofa but at the same time usually 3/4am he ends up in his owner’s bed ! Frank has lived with a cat, it is more a case of them tolerating each other, so a dog savvy cat would be OK. Frank is great around everyone, he is good and very tolerant around kids but if he has had enough, he will politely take himself off to a quiet place.
Toby is a delightful male Border Terrier, he is 6 years old. He will need a home as the only pet and no young children. Toby is a very sensitive boy who needs a quiet home with plenty of company. He is a little shadow, he will follow you where ever you go. Toby is very eager to please and is well behaved in the home. He can shake a paw, sit, lay down and stay when asked (as long as you provide treats for doing so!) He loves to have a run around the house playing chase with whoever will play with him. Toby is happier pottering around the garden rather than going for a walk. Toby needs a quiet, patient home with lots of company and especially likes to snuggle on the sofa with you in the evening and snooze. All Toby really asks for is love, he is the quietest most undemanding little dog who so deserves his forever home. ****Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in adopting Toby****
